General liability (GL) addresses bodily injury, property damage, and specific personal or advertising injuries arising from your premises, operations, products, or marketing. Professional liability (PL), or errors and omissions, addresses financial loss resulting from negligent advice, design, or services. Contract Clauses That Force Your Hand
Leases, master service agreements, and vendor contracts often require GL and PL with specific limits, additional insured and primary noncontributory status, and waivers of subrogation. Certificates of Insurance show proof, but endorsements are what actually grant those rights.
